HoloSwim 3 Pro October Updates: GPS Route Navigation, Prescription Lenses and Heart Rate Display

This October, we’re introducing three updates to HoloSwim 3 Pro to help you stay on course, see clearly and keep track of your effort as you swim.

GPS Route Navigation lets you follow a planned route in open water. Custom prescription lenses let you choose a different power for each eye. And with HandPlus B2 connected, your heart rate appears directly in the goggles, so you can check it without stopping.

All three updates are now available. Here’s what’s new and how to get started.

GPS Route Navigation: Plan Your Swim Before You Enter the Water

Recording where you swam is useful after a session. Route Navigation adds a reference you can follow during it.

Open Water Route Training is now available. Update your HoloSport App and HoloSwim 3 Pro firmware to access GPS Route Navigation.

In the app, you can create a route with waypoints, save a public route or use a previous swim’s GPS track as a reference. Send your chosen route to the goggles before entering the water; HoloSwim 3 Pro can store up to five routes.

During the swim, the in-lens arrow shows the direction of the next waypoint. As you reach each waypoint’s arrival area, Route Navigation moves to the next segment. You can also reverse the route toward the start or repeat it within the same activity.

Before starting, calibrate the compass while wearing the goggles and wait for the GPS-ready check mark. Continue regular sighting and check your surroundings throughout the swim—Route Navigation does not identify boats, obstacles or changing conditions.

Custom Prescription Lenses: Choose a Power for Each Eye

Swimmers who need distance correction can now select Custom Prescription on the HoloSwim 3 Pro product page.

The lenses are built directly into the goggles, with separate power selections for the left and right eyes. Available options range from −2.00D to −6.00D.

Choose your left-eye power under OS and your right-eye power under OD, then check both selections before ordering. These are made-to-order goggles, so please allow approximately four weeks for production and delivery.

HandPlus B2: See Your Heart Rate While You Swim

Pace tells you how fast you’re swimming. Heart rate adds another reference for the effort behind it.

HoloSwim 3 Pro now supports real-time heart-rate display from a paired HandPlus B2. Update your app and goggles’ firmware, then pair B2 to see your heart rate in the lens while you swim.

HandPlus B2 measures heart rate; HoloSwim 3 Pro displays the reading. The goggles do not contain a built-in heart-rate sensor, so this feature requires the separate B2 monitor.

B2 also supports upper and lower heart-rate limits set in the app. Three fast vibrations indicate a reading above the upper limit; three slow vibrations indicate a reading below the lower limit.
